FIVE FANTASTIC DIY MASKS

If you’re experiencing #oily skin, indulge in an egg white mask. Egg white proteins tighten the pores and kill the bacteria that causes acne.

Whisk 1 egg white with 1 teaspoon of orange juice and 1Ž2 a teaspoon of turmeric powder and wear it as a mask for 15 minutes.

Once dry, wash the mask off with water.

Carrots aren’t just good for your hair and eyes, they’re full of Vitamin A and other antioxidants that help keep your skin bright and healthy. They also make for a great facial.

Try this DIY mask:

Grind 2 teaspoons of grated carrots into a smooth paste, then mix in a small bowl with 1 teaspoon of honey and another teaspoon of milk.

Add a few drops of olive oil and use as a mask. Let it sit on your face for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with cold water.  You’ll be glowing in no time!

Do you have combination skin? We recommend trying manuka honey face mask by mixing it with a tablespoon of raw oats and a tablespoon of lemon juice, then mixing into a paste.

Apply and leave on for up to 15 minutes, then wash with warm water and pat dry. The mask does a great job of moisturizing dry areas, while reducing the oily parts of your skin.

Papaya contains the enzyme papain that helps smooth, lighten, as well as remove blemishes and dark spots.

Mix a tbsp of mashed papaya with a tspn of honey and leave on face for 30 minutes. Wash with cold water.

Scoop out half of an avocado and mash into a bowl with 1 tbsp of plain yogurt and 3 tbsp of honey. Apply the face mask  and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
